El polipropilè en film és un polímer resistent mecànicament, lleuger, flexible en gruixos fins i resistent a molts dissolvents químics, bases i àcids. Té propietats similars al polietilè (PE), però amb un punt de reblaniment major. Se li poden realitzar tractaments específics, com el tractament corona a banda i banda i pot tenir també protecció UV.
